Today we’re launching the latest addition to the Telescope’s Toolset - Internal Linking Tool. This tool can help you optimize internal linking for your website and find highly contextual linking opportunities. Let’s dive in and see how you can leverage this tool to improve your website.
The best example of a website with a lot of properly configured internal links is Wikipedia; each term and definition is correctly linked to the Wikipedia page dedicated to that term. Having pages on your website linked is not only important for user experience, but also helps with your website’s SEO.
Finding all the possible internal links manually is an immense effort, as it requires you to keep in mind the context of all the pages on the website. That’s where our new tool comes in: our Internal Linking tool fully automates the process of discovering relevant linking opportunities and presents them to you in a convenient way so you can apply them right away.
The tool is based on Telescope Crawling & Indexing, which already powers a lot of our other tools. When implementing Internal Linking, we’ve built a more advanced indexing algorithm to optimize for linking discovery. So, in order for the Internal Linking Tool to work, you will need to enable crawling for your project.
Internal linking tool can operate in two modes: Keyword-based and AI-based:
